Less than a Month
It's less then one month until I go to Peru. That's a little scary. There are so many things I still have to do, like raise money, get my visa figured out, climb Mount Everest...ok, so maybe not that. But it is still a bit overwhelming. What I'm most concerned with is seeking God's direction. I want to know if this is where He wants me. But I'm coming to realize that a lot of the time, after a bunch of prayer by yourself and from you friends, you just have to trust Him and take the first step. He will guide me as I go. Thankfully I can't screw His plans up. He is sovereign and His will can't be thwarted. That's comforting to know. I can't mess up. I can go down wrong paths and make stupid decisions but in the end I am in God's hands and He will never let me go. Paul says in Romans that "neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." If that is true, then even my screw ups will not throw me out of His love.
